Springtime in Shenandoah

See this content in the original post

It is officially Autumn here in New Zealand. The air is brisk, some of the leaves are shades of yellow and red, local towns are having harvest festivals... Even though we've been in New Zealand for the better part of a year at this point, it still does not feel right to be entering Autumn in April. Back in Virginia right now, our family and friends are experiencing one of my favorite things about Spring: FLOWERS. I love taking springtime walks around my parents' neighborhood looking for new, bright spring blooms. A few years ago I took my Pentax DSLR (R.I.P.) on one of those walks and photographed some of my favorite flowers. I recently tortured myself by looking through those pictures - I really miss the dogwoods, the tulips, the cherry blossom-littered sidewalks...

So, in honor of the Northern Hemisphere's Spring, indulge me in my walk down memory lane/ flower appreciation...
